Weltico offers a truly innovating concept with its complete line of twin filters - a complete series of two-stage filters for swimming pools from 25 cub.m to 80 cub.m. The Twinfiltre has 2 chambers made of ABS : the first chamber is equipped, in its "standard" version, with a 500 micron pre-filtrating supple pocket of large capacity to hold back leaves and small debris ; the second chamber is for a 15 micron cartridge equipped with a patented valve that regulates the pressure. Multi-Parameter Analyzer and controller by AstralPool
The Smartwatch HG 302 Analyzer is a multi-parameter analyzer and controller providing services for up to the following 7 parameters:
1. Chlorine Free (colorimetric)
2. Chlorine Total (colorimetric)
3. pH
4. Redox
5. Temperature
6. Turbidity
7. Flow
The HG-302 is user-friendly and very simple to operate.
Cutting-edge technologies are embedded in the HG-302 with its unique patent pending ARM (Active Reagent Mixer) and its patent-pending ASC (Automatic Self Cleaning),utilizing ultra-low reagent consumption, providing highly accurate readings and not requiring any calibrations.
The unit has a patent for its self-calibrating chlorine detector, which performs a self calibration during each measurement operation.
An RS 485 protocol enables direct communication with a PC by using HydroSoft software or by using the advanced GPRS communication system.
In order to eliminate the need for additional programmable controllers, 3 selectable analogs and 3 digital inputs can be used for a combination of control processes.
The HG 302 can control any type of dosing system or metering pump with selectable pulse frequency or pulse duration control.
Personal passwords are part of the HG-302 Operation Menu so that any change or operating process can be recorded in the built-in data logger.

Price increase announced at BioLab Inc.
BioLab Inc. has raised prices on a variety of pool and spa products. In many cases, the increases exceed 30 percent. The main reason for the increase is said to be the increase in the cost of raw materials, energy, and packing.
According to the company, chlorine prices are up 29 percent, caustic is up 130 percent and natural gas has risen 115 percent for the past 12 months.
Despite all attempts to cut the costs, BioLab was unable to offset the negative impact of these increases. This has direct implications on the pricing of products such as calcium hypochlorite, lithium hypochlorite and chlorinated isocyanurates - that is, the prices of dichlor and trichlor are going up.
"As a result of continued escalating costs, these increases are being implemented immediately, or as soon as contracts allow, for the 2005/2006 pool season" said John Peterson, the company's head of pool, spa and home care. "BioLab considers these increases to be necessary, fair and consistent across all classes of trade."
Peterson assured customers that BioLab will continue "to provide our customers with the value and creativity that has been our hallmark." For one, BioLab is recommending that dealers focus on selling value. "The consumers are coming to their stores because they see the value of the dealership, the products, the education. The dealers need to charge for that value" said Charlie Schobel, the firm's vice president of BioGuard. "Dealers need to look at the costs of their business: what their products cost them and the margins they need to charge to get a suitable return for their products."
A new trend in the swimming pool industry
A theory suggests that when a small number of people start behaving in a different way, their actions can ripple outward until a critical mass is reached which makes this behavior common for the world.
We at VITEH see a new trend starting to take shape in the swimming pool industry that we think will lead to a turning point in the way swimming pool companies do business.
What if you needed a new heater for your house, but the plumber you called said he only can connect the plumbing lines but not the electrical connections? What if he then said you would have to hire someone else to do the electrical work? You would evaluate this particular plumber as a terrible businessperson who chose to ignore most of the revenue available in a project. Similarly, how many of you think of yourselves only as pool builders (plumbers)? You probably would prefer not to be responsible for the landscaping portion of your client's project. In fact, some of you would be happy if the homeowner contracted with a mason separately for the decking, so you could concentrate solely on the pool.
The turning point will come when the homeowner stops thinking in terms of "putting in a pool" and starts defining their project as "creating a new backyard." When that point occurs, any pool builder who has not expanded his or her thinking will be at a disadvantage.
We predict that in the not-too-distant future, consumers will begin to look for contractors who specialize in the entire backyard. They won't be satisfied with companies that just build pools or plant bushes.

The sauna is built in the recently renovated Berlaymont headquarters in Brussels and if you think that this is the only place in this building that is free of regulations, think again. A 10-point code is in place that advises the 25 European Union Commissioners on what is desirable and what is not.
"Reckless competition about who stands heat best is out of the question. Leave your clothes in the dressing room - nakedness is natural" the code tells its 18 male and seven female commissioners. "Sweating makes swimsuits uncomfortable." The list of dos and don'ts is extensive. Commissioners in the sauna are advised to take their time, allowing "at least an hour and a half" for each session.
